This study aims to explore the role of cooperation networks in older people's homes (OPHs), highlighting their potential to improve the quality and efficiency of services. A qualitative multiple-case study approach was adopted. Four OPHs were selected, with semi-structured interviews conducted with their managers and complementary documentary analysis to ensure triangulation. The results suggest that cooperation networks may generate benefits such as resource optimisation, cost reduction and improved care delivery. Challenges were also identified, including the need for strategic alignment and managing expectations among partners. The adoption of technology, such as integrated management systems, appeared to enhance OPHs' capacity to respond to residents' needs. This study provides an exploratory and contextualised analysis of cooperative practices in OPHs. The findings offer preliminary insights for managers and the academic community, indicating potential strategies to strengthen operational efficiency and service quality for older people. This study presents initial empirical evidence on the interrelationships between different aspects of cooperation networks in OPHs, offering preliminary indications for developing collaborative strategies in the social sector.
