This paper provides invaluable insights for enhancing the performance of small-scale home photovoltaic systems. The efficiency boost of the PV panel depends on several factors, such as cooling methods, module type and size, geographic location, and time of year. Maintaining consistent and low cell temperatures is one of the most critical factors that can dramatically impact the electrical power production of PV modules. When the temperature of photovoltaic modules (PVM) increases during operation, it leads to a decline in the output, a significant concern for engineers and users. The paper comprehensively reviews the latest developments in PV panel temperature management and cooling methods, offering an in-depth discussion of alternative PV panel cooling methods, including active and passive techniques. It covers numerous strategies and provides a comprehensive understanding of the field, ensuring no aspect is overlooked in optimizing home photovoltaic systems.
