Angular sensitivity steering is demonstrated using the mechanical vibration of a carbon nanotube (CNT) cantilever. We propose a linear array of electromagnetic wave detectors based on the mechanical CNT resonator. The proposed linear array allows angular sensitivity design in terms of the geometrical properties of the cantilevers, i.e., the array factor is tuned using the resonant frequency of the cantilever and the distance between the electrode and the tip of the cantilever. We analytically investigate the underlying mechanism of the linear array and provide clear design guidelines for the array factor.
