The 60-GHz frequency band is one of the candidates for 5G communications. However, there are not many results that report the radio channel characteristics at outdoor environments for large channel bandwidths using directive steering antennas at the mobile end. We present the results of a wideband measurement campaign using directional steering antennas at the mobile end, an RF frequency bandwidth of 1 GHz, and propagation distances of up to 405 m. We propose to describe the angular power distribution using Gaussian functions. The parameters for the model are empirically determined from the measurements.
