A broadband commonly fed antenna with dual polarization is proposed in this letter. The main radiator of the antenna is designed as a loop formed by four staircase-like branches. In this structure, the 0° polarization and 90° polarization share the same radiator and reflector. Measurement shows that the proposed antenna obtains a broad impedance bandwidth of 70% (1.5–3.1 GHz) with $\vert {{S}}_{11}\vert < -{\text{10 dB}}$ and a high port-to-port isolation of 35 dB. The antenna gain within the operating frequency band is between 7.2 and 9.5 dBi, which indicates a stable broadband radiation performance. Moreover, a high cross-polarization discrimination of 25 dB is achieved across the whole operating frequency band.
