To investigate whether the hexapolarized multiple-input–multiple-output (HP MIMO) channel capacity gain (CCG) will gradually increase with the richness of multipath, a channel model composed of two mirrors (TM) with varying included angle is presented. By the theory of image source, the electromagnetic (EM) field in this channel is computed, which is accurate in both near and far fields. Through the EM field results, the CCG is computed, which is highly consistent with that from the numerical calculations. From the computation results, it is obvious that with the reduction of the included angle between the TM, CCG increases gradually with the increasing of the number of multipath and gets to the largest result in the channel consisting of two parallel planes. In this channel, a maximum CCG of 5.5 and a mean CCG larger than 4 can be obtained by the HP MIMO system.
