Metal halide perovskites have been promising materials for radiation detectors. However, ion migration in perovskite semiconductors and thermal quenching in perovskite scintillators deteriorate the performance of direct and indirect X-ray detection. Here, we propose a dual-mode perovskite X-ray detector by transferring a two-dimensional (2D) (PEA)2PbI4 perovskite microsheet on Au interdigital electrodes. High-quality 2D perovskite (PEA)2PbI4 possesses ion migration suppression and quantum confinement effect, rendering the simultaneous operation of the X-ray detector in direct semiconductor mode and indirect scintillation mode. The detector shows a good sensitivity of $169.8 \mu \text{C} \ \mathrm{Gy}_{\text {air}}^{-{1}}$ cm−2 and the spatial resolution is 13.8 lp mm−1. Our work opens a new path for high sensitivity and spatial resolution 2D perovskites dual-mode radiation detectors.
