Wavelength-division multiplexing passive optical network (WDM-PON) is an attractive technique for 5G mobile fronthaul (MFH) due to the large bandwidth and low latency. Auxiliary management and control channel (AMCC) is required for WDM-PON to achieve an efficient network deployment. In this letter, we experimentally demonstrated up to 10-Mbps baseband over modulated AMCC superimposition on 10-Gbps WDM-PON. We proposed a low-complexity interference elimination (IE) method for AMCC extraction which significantly decreases the bit error rate of AMCC signal by suppressing the interference caused by the WDM-PON signal. With the help of the proposed IE method, over megabits-per-second AMCC implementation can be achieved with different modulation indexes which is prospective for future 5G MFH. For large modulation index, AMCC can even be transmitted without the use of forward error correction.
