A high power quasi-continuous-wave (QCW) efficiently-cooled ceramic slab laser oscillator is reported. The maximum output power can reach 9.85 kW with the optical-to-optical efficiency of 60% with respect to the absorbed pump power as well as the slope efficiency up to 65.3%. To the best of our knowledge, this is the highest output power for any Yb:YAG ceramic laser oscillator. Beam aberration of the efficiently-cooled Yb:YAG ceramic slab laser is detected by a parallel probe beam along the optical path of laser beam.
