One popular subject of 6G research is the millimeter wave and Tera Hertz frequency bands for which there is both enthusiasm and pessimism. The expected adoption of high bands in 6G has been known to cause two major problems for deployment: a reduced coverage radius and a drastic increase of small coverage holes within the radius. This article examines practical constraints that may hinder the commercial success of high band deployment and proposes an approach that addresses many of the concerns from operators. The proposal is particularly effective in minimizing small coverage holes in addition to improving the system capacity, thus improving the chance for the adoption of high bands for cellular networks of future generations.
