A range of frequencies supporting low path loss ducting over microwave links at beyond-line-of-sight distances beyond 100 km have been demonstrated theoretically and experimentally. Three experiments were conducted in the South China Sea to confirm the operating frequency range of 8–12 GHz at link distances of 109 km, 63 km, and 87 km, respectively.
