Decades of Digitalization, with a remarkable explosion in performance and functionality of digital technology as predicted by Moore’s law, have not left any significant footprint on the gross domestic product (GDP) and productivity growth, as they are measured in official national accounts. In the aftermath of the pandemic, the disconnect is likely to become even more accentuated.
