The cross correlation between GPS L1 coarse acquisition signals manifests as an increased noise floor in the receiver. Reducing the amount of added noise for enhancing tracking performance is important. Successive interference cancellation (SIC) is a method, which can reduce cross-correlation noise, but its performance is dependent on the receiver bandwidth and quantization. This research analyzes the SIC performance influenced by receiver bandwidth and quantization. Results from experiments with live data supporting the analysis are presented.
