Based on two high-temperature superconducting pulsed power transformers, a double-module pulse power supply is presented and the collaborative discharge of the two modules is discussed in this paper. Seven discharge modes are compared and four evaluation criterions are used to evaluate the output current of the seven discharge modes. Simulation results show that three modes are proved to be feasible and can output a large rectangular pulse current with high amplitude and wide pulsewidth, while the other four modes are all proved to be unsatisfactory and not recommended. Relevant experiments on mode one and mode two are carried out and the results verify the accuracy and rationality of simulation analysis.
