This letter deals with two purely analytical and very fast approaches to evaluate the current induced on a wire within a resonant cavity illuminated by a plane wave through one or several apertures. The electric field distribution inside the rectangular enclosure obtained by using two circuit models is then introduced as excitation of the line on the basis of Taylor's model. The models take easily into account higher order resonant modes and improve the calculation of the coupling. The application to different geometries of rectangular enclosures coupled to arbitrary apertures (rectangular, circular) becomes precise. The analytical approaches presented in this letter are efficient in terms of accuracy and computational time compared with a full wave numerical software.
