This article concentrates on the nonstationary control for a class of nonlinear Markovian switching systems (MSSs) with the Tagaki–Sugeno (T–S) fuzzy model. By adopting variable quantization density, a more general type of T–S fuzzy MSSs is established, in which the varies performance demands can be satisfied in a more flexible way. The major benefit of the developed method lies that a multiple hierarchical structure strategy is developed concerning nonsynchronization among the original system, controller, and quantizer, which covers the reported asynchronous/synchronous mechanisms as special cases. On the basis of fuzzy-basis-dependent and mode-dependent Lyapunov function, some sufficient conditions are derived and controller gains are designed. Finally, the feasibility of the achieved result is verified by a practical example.
