The proposed paper presents the development of a highly efficient and highly immune misalignment tolerant loosely coupled inductive power transfer system using dynamic wireless power transfer concept to charge a 48-V battery bank at 500 W through a 16-cm airgap. The purpose of this work is to investigate the influence of a third coil functioning as a transmitter coil. The resonant circuit as well as the electronic power converters used to implement a prototype are deeply explained.
