In order to design a contactless position sensor using coil impedance, the sensitivity and the linearity of impedance against the displacement are required. Therefore, it is very important to clarify the factors which affect the performance of position sensor. In this paper, the effects of winding density in coil on the impedance linearity are clarified by using the experimental design method.
