An eight-year long flight database from an error detection and correction (EDAC) counter implemented onboard an altimeter flying on CryoSat-2 spacecraft at 715-km altitude is analyzed to investigate the impact of solar cycle variations on long-term effect predictions. In situ observations are then compared to various specification models including legacy models as well as models under developments.
