Driven by the demand of building power-efficient next generation cellular systems, transmission schemes that facilitate the use of low-resolution digital-to-analog converters (DACs) have drawn great research attentions lately. In this correspondence, we investigated symbol-level precoding for multiuser multiple-input–single-output downlink systems with low-resolution DACs. A new alternative direction method of multipliers (ADMM) precoder is proposed for systems deploying low resolution $b$-bit DACs where $b\geq 2$. The precoder can be considered an extension of existing 1-bit ADMM precoders. The precoder is observed to achieve the best error performance in simulations compared with other state-of-the-art counterparts.
