Gender inequity is prevalent in emergency medicine, with impacts on promotion, academic opportunities, and remuneration. We discuss an article by Lee et al published in Academic Emergency Medicine, December 2021, discussing a multi-institutional consortium of female faculty aimed at addressing issues of gender inequity. We provide critical analysis of the article, and summarize the social media discussion and a podcast in which the authors discuss their work.
