The HEART Score and Pathway risk stratify patients with chest pain into low, moderate, and high risk for major adverse cardiac events (MACE). The moderate risk group can be further divided into patients with and without known prior coronary artery disease (CAD). This article summarizes the podcast and blog post discussing the study by Henderson et al which attempts to risk stratify this group by presence of known CAD.
