The design of allocation policy for distribution of deceased donor organs is a complex challenge that balances goals of equity and utility. Allocation of different individual deceased donor organs follow unique policies reflecting inherent differences of respective patient populations. This balancing act is more complex in the context of multi-organ transplant (MOT) allocation, which has rapidly increased from 188 in 2000 to 938 transplants in 2018 -a 400% increase which almost all include kidney transplants, Figure 1.
