It is a shared belief that women considering fertility preservation should be advised of the exponential decline in their ovarian reserve coupled with a diminished response to ovarian stimulation as they age. We read the review by Alteri et al. with great interest. The authors stretch out the current knowledge on fertility preservation for non-medical indications in women willing to postpone motherhood. While the authors are to be congratulated for their comprehensive overview, a distinct point regarding the optimal timing to freeze oocyte should be clarified. This article is protected by copyright.
