Expert peer review is at the heart of scientific communication. We rely on reviewers to ensure research findings are reliable and relevant before they are communicated to the world. In order to help recognize the importance of reviewing, Wiley has partnered with Publons to give reviewers official recognition for their peer review work. This partnership means reviewers can opt-in to have their reviews for Artificial Organs automatically added to their profile page on Publons. Publons works with reviewers and publishers to give recognition for peer review. Publons helps reviewers to record, verify, and showcase their peer review contributions for use in promotion and funding applications. By default, the content of reviews for Wiley journals will not be publicly displayed on Publons, and only the year of the review and the journal title will be shown on reviewer profiles, unless both the journal and reviewer have actively selected an alternative setting. This means that review comments remain confidential, unless permission is granted by the journal and, in some cases, the author as well. You may edit what is displayed for any review according to the privacy settings of the participating journal, or opt out of the service at any time. Reviewers will be invited to opt in to get recognition for their review via a question on the Scholar One review questionnaire. Once the review is completed, reviewers receive an E-mail with a private link to claim the review and add it to their profile page on Publons. Publons can also track down historical review records and update reviewer profiles (without breaking reviewer anonymity) to make sure that past efforts do not go unnoticed. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the reviewers of Artificial Organs. We truly appreciate the time you have committed to the journal and we look forward to continuing our partnership. Become a reviewer for Artificial Organs, the official peer-reviewed journal of the International Federation for Artificial Organs, the International Faculty for Artificial Organs, the International Society for Mechanical Circulatory Support, the International Society for Pediatric Mechanical Cardiopulmonary Support, and the Vienna International Workshop on Functional Electrical Stimulation.
