To the Editor, Single-port video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (SPVATS) can be performed for relatively small and pedunculated solitary fibrous tumor of the pleura (SFTP). A novel “cowboy technique” using an endoscopic ligature is useful to remove a pedunculated SFTP by SPVATS. A 77-year-old woman was referred to our hospital because a solid mass of 45 mm in diameter was found in the left thoracic cavity on computed tomography of the chest (Figure 1A). The tumor was diagnosed as SFTP, and we performed radical surgery for resection of the tumor by SPVATS.
