although the exact pathogenesis of hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) is unknown, it is established that it is primarily an infundibulitis.(1,2) We consider infundibulum as epidermis and not as hair follicle according to Ackerman, as the type of epithelial tissue of infundibular epidermis is indistinguishable from that of interfollicular epidermis.(1) This article is protected by copyright.
