A 76-year-old Korean woman presented with two well-defined, depressed skin lesions on the thenar aspect of her left palm. The smaller lesion had appeared 5 years prior to presentation, and the larger one had appeared 2 years prior to presentation. The lesions were mostly asymptomatic, but the patient reported an intermittent stinging sensation with touch. She denied any history of trauma or contact with chemicals. A previous therapeutic trial with topical corticosteroid had not been effective. Physical examination revealed slightly depressed areas of erythema measuring 10 and 7 mm, respectively (Fig. 1). Each lesion was surrounded by a slightly scaly, raised, annular rim.
