Lichen planus pigmentosus-inversus (LPPI) is a rare variant of lichen planus pigmentosus and arises in the intertriginous areas. Although some studies have pointed that there is epidermal pigmentation in LPPI1 , no cases demonstrating the presence of epidermal melanin have been reported.
