treatment using arsenic paste, the exact recipe was, and remains, unknown. The advent of more effective treatments for BCC made this type of therapy less attractive. Owen’s daughter, Mrs Jean Hughes Jones, knows the secret but is sworn to secrecy. Despite many requests for the ‘secret remedy’, it is believed that it is safely guarded to this day by the Griffith family and can be found at the Welsh Folk Museum, St Fagan’s, Cardiff. This family willingly gave their time and knowledge to cure thousands of skin cancers and gained no wealth, except the satisfaction of knowing that they helped others.
