A 78-year-old man presented with a 2-week history of multiple itchy, tense, fluid-filled blisters on an urticated base on his torso and limbs. He did not have any mucosal membrane involvement. His medical history included hypertension, ischaemic heart disease, Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), gastro-oesophageal reflux disease and benign prostatic hyperplasia. His medication history included amlodipine, metformin, linagliptin, candesartan and esomeprazole. Laboratory investigations included full blood count, urea and electrolytes, liver function test, C-reactive pro-tein and antinuclear antibodies; no abnormalities were detected. Bacterial skin swab and chest radiography also did not detect any abnormalities.
