Non-melanoma skin cancer (NMSC), the most common malignancy worldwide, includes Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) and cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (CSCC). Although CSCC are often associated with favorable outcomes, one to ten percent of cases develop regional metastatic disease, lowering significantly the survival rate.
