Surgeons have been castigated for lack of enthusiasm and delivery of trials in surgical oncology (1). Trials are few and mis-interpretation common. Jonathon Swift, best known for "Gulliver's Travels", warned us years ago about misinterpretation and "fake news". In this context, few oncological trials have created as much debate, controversy, and mis-information as PRODIGE 7.
