Robotic total mesorectal excision is considered a technically challenging procedure especially for the novice surgeon [1]. With the increasing adoption of robotic technology, it has become imperative to teach the trainee surgeons this technique in a structured and standardized way, so this could become a reproducible procedure. It would lead to the safe adoption of practice without compromising clinical outcomes during the learning phase.
