Laparoscopic surgery has been accepted as a standard procedure for colorectal cancer 1 . Despite the generally excellent results offered bystandard laparoscopic surgery, there are still many attempts to minimize the invasiveness of the procedure by reducing the operating ports and changing the specimen retrieval route 2 . We have demonstrated the feasibility of three-port laparoscopic sigmoidectomy with natural orifice specimen extraction3 .
