Acute lymphoblastic leukaemia/lymphoma (ALL/LBL) is an aggressive entity of precursor lymphoid neoplasm and may cause malignant serous effusion (SE). The current study aimed to analyse the characteristics of SE cytology of ALL/LBL including cytomorphology, immunophenotyping, clonality and evaluate the effectiveness of SE cytology as a diagnostic method for ALL/LBL.
