We evaluated immunohistochemical staining for thyroid peroxidase (TPO), a glycoprotein found in the apical plasma membrane of thyroid follicular cells, as a marker for metastatic PTC in FNA samples and compared results with thyroglobulin (Tg) and thyroid transcription factor 1 (TTF1) staining.
