Over decades ago, rigid laparoscopy instrumented with 3-dimmentional (3D) view was introduced in minimally invasive surgery. Since then, there has been an advancement in the stereoscopic technology with implement of higher resolution and illumination1,2 . With use of special glasses, modern 3D technology allows the addition of depth perception to 2D images taken with twin lenses and displayed on a 2D monitor2 . This article is protected by copyright.
