Since the use of double-balloon endoscopy (DBE) has become more widespread for the diagnosis and treatment of small intestinal lesions, a more convenient and efficient insertion method with less patient discomfort is required. We insufflate gas to maintain the field of vision through the endoscope during insertion. However, gas on the proximal side of the overtube balloon becomes an obstacle for shortening the intestine. As intra-intestinal pressure rises, the patient's discomfort increases. This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved.
