SEVERE FIBROSIS STILL remains problematic, especially for nonexperts, in colorectal endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) though the pocket-creation method (PCM) and traction devices like S–O clip (Zeon Medical Co., Tokyo, Japan) are useful for dissecting severe fibrosis. ClutchCutter (Fujifilm Co., Tokyo, Japan) is a scissor-type knife and is useful for nonexperts. However, severe fibrosis generally cannot be grasped with it. In this report, we reported an original method, the open-clutch method (OCM) for dissecting severe fibrosis with ClutchCutter.
