Medication-overuse headache (MOH) is a chronic headache that usually develops from migraine or tension-type headache, in parallel with over-use of symptomatic headache medication. Despite the observation that the chronic headache usually resolves once over-use is stopped, it is a much debated entity, and there is no consensus regarding how to stop over-use or, whether the medication over-use is cause or consequence.
