As noted by Mlacker et al., maculopapular rash is the important dermatological clinical problem in cases infected with Zika virus infection (Fig. 1). Nevertheless, this lesion is usually highly similar to that seen in dengue and can be easily missed. In addition, many cases can manifest no dermatological problem, and asymptomatic cases are common. In Southeast Asia, the patients usually present with no skin lesion, and this is different from those cases seen in America.
