Presentation at a later age with only linear and reticulate scars on the face with only cutaneous involvement and no extracutaneous features make this case different. Though rare, CEVD may be considered in the differential diagnoses of reticulate and linear scars. Increased understanding of this condition and genetic analysis is required so that more cases can be identified in the future.
