Universal access to highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) has noticeably decreased morbidities in patients with HIV infection. Mucocutaneous manifestations associated with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection and other related opportunistic infections have changed in the post-HAART era. However, nowadays, it is still possible to face some severe opportunistic dermatosis in these individuals that provide a therapeutic challenge. Herein, to the best of our knowledge, we report the first case of successful treatment with intralesional cidofovir in recalcitrant, severe, and widespread facial molluscum contagiosum (MC) infection in a patient with advanced HIV infection and coexistent tuberculosis.
