Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) has become a standard treatment for the patients with severe aortic stenosis at a high surgical risk1 . Currently, the indications for TAVR have expanded to lower surgical risk patients based on the positive results of several randomized clinical trials comparing surgical aortic valve replacement (AVR).
