Sudden death (SD) due to ventricular tachycardia or fibrillation (VT/VF) detection failure in patients with implantable cardioverter‐defibrillators (ICDs) has been reported, despite its rarity. However, the relationship between VF detection instability during defibrillation testing (DT) and SD risk is unknown.
