We read with interest the review article by Lambertini et al. published on the last February issue of the Journal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology on oral pigmentations (OPs) and oral malignant melanoma (OMM). In particular, Lambertini et al, like other authors, underline the importance of an early diagnosis of OMM given the rapid hematogenous and lymph node metastatic spread and the resulting poor prognosis (Figure 1).
