Chromoblastomycosis (CBM) is a chronic granulomatous fungal infection caused by melanized or brown-pigmented fungi. It is mainly a tropical or subtropical disease. CBM is considered an implantation mycosis because its mode of infection comprises transcutaneous inoculation from an environmental source.
