We would like to thank Dr. Marasca et al., and Drs. De Vita and Melnik for their interest in our recently published paper "Insulin resistance in hidradenitis suppurativa: a case-control study". They suggest that mTORC1 could be a key molecular pathway involved in the pathogenesis of insulin resistance (IR) in patients with hidradenitis suppurativa (HS). IR is a complex metabolic disorder in which multiple mechanisms have been involved. This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved.
