The disease-related costs of psoriasis are of considerable importance, as the drug expenses for psoriasis in Germany have risen continuously in recent years.1 Overall, the economic burden of psoriasis markedly depends on disease-specific characteristics such as severity and comorbidity.2,3 Furthermore, there are differences in the healthcare costs between patients treated with biologics compared to those using traditional systemic treatments.4,5.
